Brandon-Evansville recorded a 3-1 (25-19, 25-18, 16-25, 25-12) road win in Wheaton on Monday night.

“Traveling to Wheaton is always tough, having to do it on a Monday makes it even tougher,” commented B-E Head Coach Kelly Olson. “We wanted to keep serving the ball well, and at times we did do that, but missed serves hampered the flow of the match for both teams. I thought we passed the ball okay, but during the third set our serve receive broke down and we just couldn’t dig out of the hole. It took until the fourth set for us to really establish how we wanted to play the match because Wheaton did such a great job keeping us out of system with their swings and how they placed the ball. Overall we are happy to get a win from a good Wheaton team and are looking forward to Hillcrest coming to Evansville for a Little 8 conference match on Tuesday.”

Leaders for the Chargers were Bailey Schaefer (18 kills, ,12 digs), Kailee Klimek (13 kills, 6 digs), Brittany Korkowski (12 digs, 3 kills, 1 block), Mikenna Pattrin (10 kills, 3 blocks), Korrie Randt (39 set assists, 7 digs) and Haddey Zastrow (5 kills).

Serving leaders were Gretchen Bredberg (11/11), Klimek (14/15), Korkowski (21/23) and Randt (8/9).

No Wheaton stats were reported.
