“Overall, the team played very well this weekend and they are so fun to watch,” said head volleyball coach Abby Crowser. “Even when we are down in a set, we fight back and start making great plays when we need it most. There were numerous sets where we came from behind to win. The players do a great job at performing well under pressure.”

Leaders in the win over DuPage were Katherine Mastey (10 kills, 2 blocks, 8 digs), Bailey Marty (8 kills, 12 digs, 9/10 serving, 2 aces), Hannah Ekse (8 kills, 1 block), Alexa Mortenson (6 kills, 3 blocks, 9 digs, 23/23 serving, 3 aces), Alexis Heisler (8 digs, 14/14 serving, 2 aces), Taylor Berndt (11 digs, 13/15 serving, 2 aces) and Sydney Hovland (28 set assists).  The Spartans served 95.9% (71-74) in the match with 10 ace serves.

Against Harper, Hovland (22 set assists), Berndt (19 digs), Marty (18 digs, 11/13 serving), Ekse (11 kills, 6 blocks), Mastey (7 kills, 2 blocks), Mortenson (11/11 serving, 1 ace) and Sierra Jenson (22/24 serving, 3 aces) led the way statistically.
