The West Central Area volleyball team fell to the Frazee Hornets in four sets on Thursday night.  After winning the first set 25-22, the lady Knights struggled in set two, falling 25-11.  Frazee closed out the match with wins of 25-19 and 25-21 in sets three and four.

“Game one was a hard fought battle, with some great blocks made by Liz Rustan and Kaylyn Ulrich, forcing Frazee to try and go around, which in turn led to some errors on their part,” reported WCA Head Coach Missy Foslien.  “The Hornets came out strong in game two, quickening up their offense, relying on Paige Oswald to take care of business.  Games three and four were closer, but the Knights just couldn’t get their offense going to pull away with a win.”

Leaders for West Central Area were Emma Swenson (20/21 serving, 1 ace, 14 digs), Ulrich (12/12 serving, 1 ace, 1 block), Hailey Bennett (6 set assists, 17 digs, 5 kills), Holly Gilsdorf (4 set assists), Kaleigh Anderson (13 digs), Rustan (5 kills, 1 block) and Halle Foslien (4 kills).
