Chad Christianson is starting his tenth year heading up the Hancock football team and the Owls return a solid nucleus of starters from their 6-4 team of a year ago.

Seniors Tyler Timmerman (RB/CB), Gideon Joos (RB/LB), Dalton Rose (LB) and Daniel Milander (WR/CB), juniors Preston Rohloff (QB), Adam Shaw (LB) and Brandon Kellenberger (WR/LB), and sophomores Jed Feuchtenberger (RB/LB) and Luke Joos (WR) are all returning for the Owls.

Seniors Parker Schmidgall (OL/DL) and Colton Crowell (OL/DL) and junior Isaac Nienhaus (RB/LB) are all expected to step into key varsity positions.

“We are quite smaller than we were last year on our offensive and defensive lines, but are very athletic all over the field,” reported Coach Christianson.  “We are hoping that our athleticism and speed will make up for our lack of size.  Several of our players are three year starters so we are also looking to that experience to help us as we go into the 2019 season.”

Christianson will be assisted by Matt Nesvig, Ryan Snyder, Cory Bedel, Derrick Foss, Brendon Foss and Andrew Whalen.

Brandon-Evansville and Verndale are teams Christianson expects to battle for the Section 4 9-man title.
