Brandon-Evansville swept a baseball double header from Hillcrest on Friday in Evansville, winning a pair of five inning games 13-0 and 14-4.

Zack Haugen (3IP, 6K, 0BB) and Jayden Hoidahl (2IP, 2K, BB) combined to throw a no-hitter in the first game.

“Zack and Jayden both had good control of their pitches and their defense played errorless ball behind them,” reported B-E Head Coach Brian Perleberg.

The Chargers were able to score in each of the five innings with Marshall Riedel, Kyle Schaffran, Corbin Olson and Tanner Bitzan all producing multi-hit games.

Tony Schaffran (3IP, 3R, 4H, BB) and Jesse Perleberg (2IP, R, 2H, BB) handled the pitching duties in game two.

Gaven Jacobson, Riedel and Tony Schaffran all had multi-hit games in the nightcap, while Perleberg, Bitzan and Keagan Schiele each contributed a double to the Chargers twelve hit attack.

“Hillcrest came out and put the ball in play much better in the second game as they put three runs on the board right away,” said Coach Perleberg.  “Fortunately, we responded with a rally of our own in the bottom half of the inning.”

The Chargers improved their season record to 13-4.  They will host Long Prairie on Monday night.
