Otter Girls Take First at TK Last Chance Meet

Fergus Falls won the TK Last Chance Girls Track and Field Meet at Jake Christiansen Stadium at Concordia College in Moorhead on Monday, registering 118.833 points.  Milnor-Wyndmere-Lidgerwood from North Dakota was runner-up with 86 and West Fargo Sheyenne took third with 75.333.  Fergus Falls was the only Minnesota team in the field.

First place finishers for the Otters were Sabrina Fronning in the 100 meter dash (12.63) and the 400 meter dash (60.82), Ainsley Hansen in the high jump (5-01.00), Audrey Mudford in the long jump (16-05.00) and Svea Smestad in the shot put (36-06.00).  The 4x100 relay team of Sabrina Fronning, Miranda Hoffman, Ashlyn Fronning and Anna Anderson also took first place (51.18).  The 4x200 relay team of Ashlyn Fronning, Miranda Hoffman, Audrey Mudford and Anna Anderson finished second (1:49.99).  The 4x800 relay team of Makenna Stenstrom, Karolyn Papon, Emily Nuss and Emilie Carlson placed third (11:08.28).

The Otters had a strong showing in the pole vault where Hallie Sheridan placed second (9-03.00), Jadyn McKeever took third (9-03.00) and Sophie Rausch came in eighth (8-00.00).  In the High jump, Hannah Prody tied for second (4-11.00) and Audrey Mudford was tied for seventh (4-11.00).  Ashlyn Fronning was third in the long jump (16-02.00) and Anna Anderson finished fourth in the triple jump (32-00.00).  In the 1600 meter run Aspen Rohde came in eighth (5:39.70) and in the 3200 meter run, Karolyn Papon (14:01.32) and Makenna Stenstrom (14:08.04) were sixth and seventh, respectively.  In the 100 meter dash, Anna Anderson was fifth (13.43) and Ashlyn Fronning eighth (13.49).
