The Fergus Falls boys tennis team traveled to Thief River Falls on Saturday to face the Prowlers and the Detroit Lakes Lakers in a triangular.

The Otters fell to Thief River Falls, 7-0, to start the day.

“TRF is a top 5 team in the state and will be very tough to deal with come sections,” said Fergus Falls Head Coach Titus Christianson. “Kaden Peterson and Josh Kasper stepped in and did a really nice job at 3 doubles. Joe Connelly played well and lost in a super tiebreaker.”

The Otters then took on DL and lost 5-1 with number three doubles being suspended due to rain, resulting in the match being called.

“We had some very competitive matches with DL,” said Coach Christianson. “Noah Tarczon and Matt Niblock played some nice doubles together and won at 1 doubles. Colton Partain and Maveric Kalenberg played some good points as well but ended up falling in the super tiebreaker for the third. Isaac Ahlgren fell at 1 singles in a super tiebreaker as well so we were right with them again.”

The Otters travel to East Grand Forks on Tuesday and wrap up the regular season with a match against St. Cloud Tech at home on Thursday.
