The Barnesville Trojans and Perham Yellowjackets both competed in the Marvin Daggett Hornet Boys Track and Field Invitational on Thursday in Frazee. D-G-F won the team title with 207.75 points. Frazee was second (113), followed by United Clay-Becker (70), Detroit Lakes (58.25), Perham (49.5), Barnesville (40.25) and New York Mills (13.25).
First Place finishers for Perham were Tesfaye Young (4:51.26) in the 1600 meter run, and Isaac Scheidecker in the 110 hurdles (15.70). Second place went to Young in the 800 (2:15.32), the 4x100 relay (47.00) and 4x200 relay (1:35.70). Carter Aakre was fifth in the 110 hurdles (18.40) and sixth (9-00.00) in the pole vault. Connor Kostynick was sixth in the discus (104-03).
For Barnesville Damian Camperud was second in the shot put (44-03.00) and third in the discus (112-01). Jacob Morgan was runner-up in the 100 meter dash (11.66) and the 200 meter dash (23.53) and finished fifth in the long jump (17-06.00). Taking fourth place were Nate Rehder (9-06.00) in the pole vault and Joey Mark (35-00.00) in the triple jump. Mark also tied for sixth (5-02.00) in the high jump.
