Maddux Kovash tossed a 2-hit shutout on Friday as Perham blanked Renville County West 5-0 at Minnewaska Area High School in Glenwood. Kovash struck out eight batters in his complete game victory and did not issue a walk.
Offensive leaders for the Yellowjackets were Kovash (3-4, 2B, RBI), Carter Mulcahy (2-5, RBI), Sam Still (1-2, 2B, 2R, 2BB) and Noah Rooney (1-4, R, 2SB).
