Caitlyn Covington was a double event winner for the Yellowjackets, finishing first in both the 1600 (5:22.93) and 800 (2:24.94), and Mesa Schultz won the long jump (16-07.25).  Lipp was runner-up (16-06.00) in the long jump and the Yellowjackets placed second in the 4x200 relay (1:49.65) and 4x100 relay (51.43).  Perham won the 4x400 relay (4:14.00).

Liz Birkeland had a pair of third place finishes in the 1600 (5:30.77) and 3200 (12:29.11) and Lizzy LaFond was third in the triple jump (35-00.00).  Hailey Wegscheid was third (2:29.67) in the 800.  The Yellowjackets placed fourth in the 4x800 relay (10:10.44).  Tayler Parks claimed fifth (93-05) in the discus, Jaden Hackel was sixth (4-10.00) in the high jump, Hokanson tooks sixth (1:03.35) in the 400 and Schultz was sixth (16-07.25) in the long jump.

In addition to Fronning’s first place finishes in the hurdle events, Fergus Falls won the 4x200 relay (1:49.61) with Miranda Hoffman, Ashlyn Fronning, Audrey Mudford and Anna Anderson, and Ainsley Hansen took first place in the high jump (5-02.00).

“Overall, this was the team with the most all around depth that we have been able to put on the track at true team,” commented Head Coach Niki Welde.  “Our team stepped up all around.  Sabrina setting the meet record in the 100 hurdles was the highlight of a full night.  Ainsley won the high jump in dramatic fashion after a jump off that involved moving the bar many times, and Svea Smestad had the biggest PR of the night with a 2-foot plus PR in the shot put.”

Smestad placed third (36-03.50) in the shot put and Rachel Wulfkuhle was fifth (33-04.50).  Wulfkuhle finished sixth (92-07) in the discus.

Other top finishes for the Otters included a second place from Sabrina Fronning in the triple jump (35-00.25), a third (51.98) by the team of Ashlyn Fronning, Hallie Sheridan, Anna Anderson and Miranda Hoffman in the 4x100 relay, and a second (12:19.66) by Aspen Rohde and a fourth (12:32.74) by Emily Nuss in the 3200 meter run.  Hannah Prody was fifth (5-00.00) in the high jump.

Sixth place went to Nuss in the 1600 (5:39.23), Ashlyn Fronning in the 100 meter dash (13.44), Anderson in the triple jump (32-01.00) and Sheridan and Jadyn McKeever in the pole vault as they both cleared nine feet.
