The WCA girls' golf team enjoyed a beautiful day on the links at two different golf courses; first in Graceville and then in Wheaton.

The Knights took first in Graceville with a team score of 243.  Jessica St. Martin was the medalist with a 46, followed by Kate Wrolson in second with a 50, Libby Poyzer in third with a 59 and Emily Courrier scored an 89.

The next stop was Wheaton where the Knights took first again with a team score of 249.  Jessica, Kate and Libby once again took the first through third honors with scores of 45, 56 and 58 and Emily Courrier shot a 90, placing her in the sixth position.  The highlight was definitely the weather.

"It was fun to be in the sunshine and to be reminded about how fun golf can be on a nice spring day in Minnesota," said WCA Head Coach Kari Kreft.  “Staying out of penalty areas, strong putting and solid chipping made for a good day.  Another bonus for the day was having the chance to play with some of their own teammates.  This rarely happens in bigger meets, so it was an enjoyable opportunity.  The girls enjoy one another's company and really build one another up, so it was fun to see them golf together in a competitive meet."
