Leah Herzog of Red Wing won the individual title with a round of 68 and her teammate, Sophia Yoemans, was runner-up with a 69.  Other medal winners were Shelby Busker of DL with a 77, Cora Larson of Alexandria with an 80, Anna Cihak of Detroit Lakes with an 80 and Melanie Lemiah of Wayzata, also with an 80.

Fergus Falls was led by Greta Christenson with a 95 and Ellia Soydara with a 97.  Sydney Thacker had a 101, and Amy Johnson and Mady Eklund each shot rounds of 102.  Kenzy Braeger rounded out the team scoring with a 117.

“The girls improved tremendously today in Alexandria and we hope to continue the trend downward with our team scores,” commented Head Coach Ben Jurgens of the Otters.  “Recapping the round we talked about quality of holes played in each of their rounds and they all had a significant number of holes at bogey or better.  With hard work we hope to increase the total of quality holes and decrease the holes that are considered blow up holes and start raising our expectations.  However, it's still early in the season and we just need to take baby steps in the right direction.”
