The Fergus Falls Boys Golf Team competed in their 2nd Central Lakes Conference meet of the year on Tuesday at The Territory Golf Club in St. Cloud.  

The Otters were led by Hayden Shol who posted an impressive 78 on the lengthy and windy golf course.  “There was a moment in Hayden’s round where he could have let it get away from him.  Instead, he buckled down, made 2 birdies in a row, and mentally turned it around. I can’t tell you how impressive it was to see him do that,” Otter coach Matt McGovern said.  

Rounding out the scores for the Otters were Aaron Shelstad with an 84, Trey Soydara (87), Michael DeBrito (95), Chance Fazio (97), and 8th grader Charlie Fuder with a 99.  The tournament was won by Alexandria.  

The Otters will get some good quality practice time in before competing in their next CLC meet on April 30 in Willmar.
