The Brandon-Evansville softball team collected 14 hits on Tuesday as they handed Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley a 12-2 loss on Tuesday in Brandon.

Winning pitcher Kristen Kokett went six innings, struck out six batters, walked one and gave up two earned runs on seven hits.  She also went 2-for-3 at the plate with two runs scored and a run batted in.  Other offensive leaders for B-E were Bailey Schaefer (2-3, 2B, 3RBI, R), Alena Shores (2-3, 2R, RBI), Haddey Zastrow (2-2, 2R), Kerryn Lund (3-4, 3RBI, R) and Korrie Randt (2-4, 2B, 2RBI, 2R).

“We played a solid game all around today,” said Brandon-Evansville Head Coach Kasi Sieling.  “Kristen threw well in the circle and the defense played clean behind her to work out of jams.  Offensively, we were aggressive and it was great to see more of our girls find their groove in the box.  It was good to see the girls come out and bounce back quickly after a tough game yesterday and in chilly temperatures.”

Laura Botker went 2-for-3 with one run and a run batted in to lead the Wolverines.
