The Perham baseball team is coming off a successful 19-6 overall record and 10-2 Heart O’ Lakes Conference record from 2018, as well as successful American Legion and Junior Legion seasons last summer.  Second year head coach James Mulcahy is confident that success will translate to a strong, competitive 2019 season.

“The team will have depth and experience at every position,” said Mulcahy.  “This team is loaded with multiple sport athletes that understand team concept and work needed to be successful.  We look to factor in the top of the standing in the conference and the section.”

Returning starters include seniors Dawson Stevens (1B, P), Josh Jeziorski (SS, OF) and Ty Moser (OF), juniors Carter Mulcahy (C) and Maddux Kovash (SS, 3B, P), and sophomore Noah Rooney (OF/P).

Mulcahy will be looking for seniors Max Tostenson (OF, 3B), Sam Still (OF), Kaleb King (OF) and Benson Nyhus (2B, C), junior Michael Benke (3B, 2B, P) and sophomore Finn Diggins (P) to earn varsity time.

Mulcahy (Hitters, Infielders) will be assisted by Jan Erik Lindberg (JV Head Coach, Catchers), TJ Super (Varsity Assistant, Infielders), Taylor Doll (C Squad Head Coach, Pitchers) and Mike Baso (Varsity Assistant, Hitters).

D-G-F, Roseau, Park Rapids and Pequot Lakes are the top teams in Section 8AA with DGF contending with Perham for the HOL crown.
