Every player returns for the Ashby softball team after a 9-8 record in 2018 gave the program their first winning season since 2012.

“We have an experienced group of girls with lots of versatility in the field,” said Head Coach Autumn Aeling.  “They have awesome attitudes and have shown that they are ready to work hard this season.”

Seniors Josey Ness (P) and Elli Johnsrud (C), along with junior Amelia Barry (1B) will serve as team captains.  Other returning letter winners are juniors Courtney Koefod (SS), Kalista Aamot (3B), Brynn Krupke (OF), Taleeyah Johnson (OF/P) and Halle Dahlen (OF), and sophomores Anissa Heinrich (OF), Anna Thormodson (2B) and Madison Bestul (OF/P).

Aeling will be assisted by Laura Pettit (JV/Assistant Coach), Craig Koefod (Parent Volunteer) and Blaine Barry (Parent Volunteer).

Aeling says Brandon-Evansville, Wheaton-Herman-Norcross and West Central Area will be among the top competitors for the Arrows in the Pheasant Conference and Section 6A.
