Ottertail Central Sweeps Park Region Meet

In a commanding display of depth, balance, and grit, the Ottertail Central Bulldogs claimed both the boys' and girls' team titles at the Park Region Conference Track & Field Championships, held on May 13th. The boys scored 125 points to edge out Pillager and Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale, while the girls matched their dominance with a 122-point finish to top Pillager and Parkers Prairie.

 

Kinley Bormann (Ottertail Central Girls Track and Field)

Kinley Bormann of the Ottertail Central girls’ track and field team is the Olson Oil Company Athlete of the Week.  Bormann won both the long jump (16’ 6.5”) and triple jump (34’ 4”) at the Perham Invitational and was also a member of the second place 4x200 meter relay team (1:51.90).  The Bulldogs placed third in the team competition with 81.5 points, trailing only Perham and Pelican Rapids in the 13-team field.

 

Perham Boys and Girls Win Home Track and Field Invitational

The Perham Yellowjackets hosted their home track and field invitational on Tuesday and went on to record team wins in both the boys’ and girl’ competition.  The Perham boys’ scored 146.75 points, while runner-up Staples-Motley had a total of 104.  The girls’ won with 204.5 points, well ahead of second place Pelican Rapids at 94.
