The Class A Boys and Girls Track and Field Meet got underway on Tuesday at St. Michael-Albertville High School with finals in several field events and preliminary races in the running events.  Finals in Class A will be held on Wednesday afternoon, beginning at 3:30pm.  The Class AAA meet also held their first session on Tuesday, while Class AA begins on Wednesday.  Here are the results for area athletes from day one of the Class A meet.

The Perham girls’ won the 28th Annual Marvin Dagget Hornet Track and Field Invitational on Saturday, and United Clay Becker took the boys’ team title with Perham finishing as the runner-up.  Barnesville came in second in the girls’ competition.  Eleven teams competed in the event at the Frazee High School.
