On a sunny, cool evening for baseball, the Hawley Nuggets ventured north to Thief River Falls for a non-conference ballgame between two Section 8AA foes. This was the first-ever matchup between the two schools in high school baseball play. TRF hosted Badger-Greenbush-Middle River earlier in the day, winning 20-1. The nightcap with Hawley was much closer. In a game that took a little over an hour, the Prowlers ended up on the winning side of a 3-1 decision.
