Heart O' Lakes Conference All-Conference Team

Barnesville (12-4), Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton (12-4) and Breckenridge (11-4) shared the Heart O’ Lakes Conference girls’ basketball title this season and their coaches, Bill Gottenborg of the Trojans, Tony Bogenreif of the Cowgirls and Jason Sunde of the Rebels, shared Coach of the Year honors.  Gottenborg’s Trojans won the Section 8AA title, qualifying for the Class AA State Tournament, and Abby John of Barnesville was voted the Most Valuable Player in the HOL.

 

The season came to an end on Thursday for the Barnesville girls’ basketball team as they lost a 76-64 decision to Caledonia in the Class AA Consolation semifinals at Gangelhoff Center on the campus of Concordia University in St. Paul.  The Trojans finish their season with a final record of 22-8.

 

Tori Oehrlein did what she does on Wednesday at Williams Arena as her Crosby-Ironton Rangers defeated the Barnesville Trojans, 75-50 in the quarterfinals of the Class AA State Girls Basketball Tournament.  Oehrlein scored 30 points on 14-of-23 shooting, pulled down 19 rebounds, 6 of them on the offensive boards, distributed 6 assists and came away with 4 steals, while adding a pair of blocked shots.
