FF Sports Hall of Fame Welcomes 5 New Members

With the induction of five new members into the Fergus Falls Sports Hall of Fame, the total number of inductees increased to 113 since 1986.  Heidi Busack, Nick Hansen, Steve Lundeen, Bob Rick and Mark Tommerdahl were inducted at an informal gathering on Saturday, August 16 at Fergus Falls VFW Post 612.

Nick Hansen was a star athlete at Hillcrest Lutheran Academy and M State, Fergus Falls, formerly known as Fergus Falls Community College. He feels fortunate to have participated on some good teams during his time in Fergus Falls.

Nick was part of five high school state tournaments and two college NJCAA national tournament appearances.   

He played for coaches Richard Risbrudt and Gregg Preston at Hillcrest, and Dave Retzlaff at the community college.  All three are members of the Fergus Falls Sports Hall of Fame.

 

 

Five new inductees for Sports Hall of Fame

The Fergus Falls Sports Hall of Fame will induct five new members in 2025, this year at 2:00pm, Saturday, August 16, at the Fergus Falls VFW.  The gathering is open to the general public.  Inductees for 2025 include Heidi Busack, Nick Hansen, Steve Lundeen, Bob Rick, and Mark Tommerdahl.
