Perham Yellowjacket Activities Director Erin Anderson announced Grant Dierkhising has been named the new Head Boys Basketball Coach. The move is pending approval of the 549 Independent School Board, which convenes on May 14.

The season came to an end on Wednesday night for the Pelican Rapids boys’ basketball team as they fell to Minnehaha Academy, 78-51, in the consolation semifinals of the Class AA State Tournament at Gangelhoff Center on the campus of Concordia University in St. Paul.  The Vikings final record is 24-8.
