The Alexandria boys’ basketball team will play for the Class AAA State Championship on Saturday at 1:00pm at Williams Arena after their 73-65 come from behind victory over second-seeded Totino-Grace in their semifinal round contest on Thursday. The Cardinals trailed 35-31 at the half but shot 54.5% (12-22) from the field and made 15-of-19 free throws in their second half comeback. For the game, Alexandria shot 77% (20-26) from the line and 43.4% (23-53) from the field. They also recorded 15 assists on 23 made baskets and took excellent care of the ball with only 9 turnovers, while scoring 15 points off 14 Totino-Grace turnovers.
