This year’s West Central Area volleyball season once again started long before our first games in late August. Most of our team committed to playing club volleyball, which started not too long after our 2023 volleyball season, in fact most tryouts were the day after the State Tournament. Then in the summer, our team reunited to practice a couple mornings a week, play in a couple of tournaments, and attend team camp at SDSU, which is where a lot of team bonding and building took place. We took first place at team camp, beating St. Peter, MN, and also took first place at the Breakdown tournament in Fergus Falls in late July.  When it came time for our season to begin, the girls were looking forward to building off of the success of last year’s 2023 State Tournament sixth place finish.
