The Pelican Rapids Vikings were victorious in their homecoming football game on Friday night, defeating the Hawley Nuggets by a score of 18-15. The Vikings struck first on a 31 yard TD pass from Grady Larson to Treyvon Benson.  A fake punt resulted in a 47 yard run for a touchdown by Hawley and the successful PAT kick gave the Nuggets a 7-6 lead.  Larson then connected with Benson on a 65 yard aerial for a 12-7 lead and Mark Kapenga made it 18-7 with an 18 yard run to the end zone.  In the fourth quarter, Hawley scored on a 65 yard pass play and added the two-point conversion to put the final score at 18-15.
