Recent Ortonville Track & Field News

The Perham girls were on the medal stand in several events on Friday at the Class A State Track and Field Meet at St. Michael-Albertville High School.  Gracie Morris won gold in the pole vault (12-00.00) and Danial Van Watermulen finished fourth (10-06.00).  Jaden Hackel was runner-up in the triple jump (37-10.75), while Lauryn Rustad made four trips to the stand with a third place in the 100 hurdles (15.05), a ninth place in the 300 hurdles (47.73) and as a part of the sixth place 4x400 relay (4:07.02) and the seventh place 4x200 relay (1:46.00).  Hackel and Gracie Morris were also part of the 4x200 relay team, along with Mya MorrisCora Grismer and Mya Morris completed the 4x400 relay team.

Ashby-Brandon-Evansville won the Border West girls’ track and field invitational on Monday with 143 points and the host Buccaneers were second with 134.  The Bucs were first in the boys’ meet with 201 points and Hancock took runner-up honors with 105 points.

Hancock Track and Field Results

The Hancock track and field teams competed in their second varsity meet of the season on Thursday.  Border West finished first in the boys' event with 230 points and Hancock was second with 137.  Ortonville came in third with 60 and Browns Valley was fourth with 26.  Border West also won the girls’ meet with 217 points and Hancock was second with 131.  Ortonville took third with 45.
