Ashby Boys Fall in Ortonville

The Ashby Arrows Boys Basketball Team ended its regular season schedule with a loss to the Ortonville Trojans 54-47 on Thursday night.  Ortonville led 29-19 at the halftime break.

The Trojans point guard Tyson Powell led all scorers with 25 points.  Fifteen of those came in the second half.


The Arrows were led by Christian Norby who had 16 points.  Scott Johnson also reached double digits with 10.  Jaden Norby had 9, Dakota Ecker 8, and Noah Johnson and Hunter Norby each had 2 points to complete the scoring for the Arrows.  Ashby shot 39% (14/36) from the field and 58% (14/24) from the free throw line.


“Ortonville did a good job taking care of the ball down the stretch,” noted Ashby Head Coach John Holsten.  “Point guard Tyson Powell took over the game.”   


Ashby's overall record for the season falls to 16-7.
