Fergus Falls took a 31-16 halftime lead and scored the first two points of the second half to increase their lead to a 17 point margin before the Tigers mounted their comeback try.  St. Cloud Tech got to within two points late in the game and trailed by three, 42-39, when the Otters rode a spurt from Dominic Aguilar to a 48-39 lead.  Aguilar made his first of two free throw attempts and after missing his second try he stole the ball and connected on a three-point field goal to kick the lead to 46-39.  A steal by Matthew Johnson led to a fast break basket by Nic Pearson to put the Otters on top by nine with just over a minute to play.  Tech cut the lead to four again at 48-44, but two more free throws by Aguilar and a transition basket by Ashwin Stratton pushed the lead to 52-44.  A three pointer at the buzzer by Tate Caldwell put the final margin at five points.

Matthew Johnson recorded a double-double with 18 points and 10 assists.  He also had 3 steals and 3 rebounds. Aguilar added 13 points, a team high 5 rebounds and 2 assists.  Cody Norgren had 7 points and 4 rebounds, and Bauer Rogelstad contributed 4 points and 4 boards.  The Otters made 19-of-40 (47.5%) of their field goal attempts and 8-of-11 (72.7%) of their 3’s.

Odier Olange led the Tigers with 15 points and Tate Caldwell was also in double figures with 11.  Nate Trewick and Kedrick Osourah each had 9 points.

Fergus Falls (14-11) will host Sauk Rapids-Rice in their final regular season game on Friday night. It will be senior night for the Otters.
