Ashby was led by fifteen points from Noah Johnson, Scott Johnson and Jaden Norby. Christian Norby added 14 points and Dakota Ecker contributed 10.
“We had a very good team effort as our entire starting five scored in double figures,” reported Ashby Head Coach John Holsten. “The coaching staff really liked the way the kids passed the ball tonight. We thought the defensive positioning and activity was excellent and our competitiveness each possession at both ends of the floor was good.”
Leaders for Underwood were Canaan Kugler and Daxton Olson with 12 and 7 points, respectively.
“We came out flat tonight on the defensive end and that dug us a big hole early that we couldn’t get out of,” commented Underwood Head Coach Evan Meece. “Our defensive intensity wasn’t where it needed to be and Ashby took advantage and shot very well from the field.”
Underwood (3-20) will host West Central Area in their final regular season game on Tuesday night.
Ashby (15-6) will travel to Graceville to face C-G-B on Tuesday and will entertain Ortonville in their regular season finale on Thursday night.
