“We were tied at 14 at halftime as both teams struggled on offense, but that changed in the second half for them, not for us,” recalled Battle Lake Head Coach David Marso. “Too many turnovers and struggling to score made for a tough combination.”
Allison Marso led all scorers with 11 points and Makenna Tysdal added 7 points for the lady Battlers.
Tiffany Thompson led New York Mills with 10 points.
Battle Lake (5-18) will host Bertha-Hewitt in their final regular season contest on Thursday.
