Brandon-Evansville beat Rothsay by a score of 53-36 in a Little Eight Conference boys basketball contest Monday in Rothsay.

“It was a little different playing the same team for a second time in 3 days,” commented B-E Head Coach Trent Hintermeister. “I thought our guys played with a tremendous amount of effort tonight and I'm happy to get the win. Our defense was much better tonight than it was Saturday. We played a lot of different guys trying to manage minutes knowing we have 3 more games this week.”

Marshall Riedel (14 points, 3 steals), Keagan Schiele (14 points, 5 assists, 9 rebounds, 4 steals) and Tanner Bitzan (12 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists) were the leaders for the Chargers.

Brandon-Evansville (12-10) has won four straight games. They will travel to Wheaton on Tuesday.

Rothsay (5-16) is home to Lake Park-Audubon on Thursday night.
