The Parkers Prairie Panthers controlled the second half of their Little Eight Conference boys basketball game with Underwood on Friday night, outscoring the Rockets 46-19 on the way to a 71-41 victory.  The Panthers held a slim 25-22 halftime advantage.

Travis Yohnke led the Panthers with 16 points.  Josh Helling and Noah Koepwere also in double figures with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Daxton Olson led Underwood with 10 points.  Canaan Kugler contributed 9 points and Krosby Aasness had 7.

"We came out strong and played a really solid first half," stated Underwood Head Coach Evan Meece.  "Parkers got hot and picked up the tempo in the second half and we couldn't keep it up. Our effort was solid, but their pressure and tempo got the better of us."

Underwood will travel to Twin Valley on Tuesday to face Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal and then will host Ashby on Friday night.

Parkers Prairie has road games Tuesday at Staples, Thursday at Morris and Friday in Evansville as they start a stretch of five straight games away from their home gym.
