The Battle Lake boys basketball team hosted Rothsay on Friday night and beat the Tigers by the score of 76-52.

"We played well tonight," said Battle Lake Head Coach CJ Peeters.  "We worked hard. Every guy that got in played hard and improved throughout the game.  We continue to try to improve each game and moved in the right direction tonight."

Brennan Amundson (21) and Riley Leabo (19) combined for 40 points to lead the Battlers.  Cole Brandner and Brady VanErp each scored ten points.

Rothsay was led by Braden Moen and Parker Keep with 14 points apiece.

"We didn't come ready to play tonight," said Rothsay Head Coach Taylor Fuhs.  "I felt our energy level wasn't where it needed to be and we weren't ready to match Battle Lake's uptempo style."

Battle Lake (8-12) will host Barnesville on Tuesday.

Rothsay (5-15) will be at home against Brandon-Evansville on Monday night.
