The Pelican Rapids girls basketball team clinched the Heart O’ Lakes Conference championship with a 58-43 win over Breckenridge on Thursday night in Pelican Rapids. The win was the sixteenth in a row for the Vikings and puts them at 21-1 overall and 10-1 in the HOL.
Adrianna Torres poured in 21 points to lead the Vikings. She also added 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Greta Tollefson (15 points, 8 rebounds, 4 steals, 3 assists) and Anna Stephenson (12 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals) were also in double figures. Maddie Guler (5 rebounds, 3 steals) and Sarah Thompson (5 rebounds, 3 assists) also contributed.
The Viking girls will play Wheaton/Herman-Norcross in Herman on Friday night.
