Battle Lake held a slim 22-20 halftime lead over the Underwood Rockets, however, the Battlers scored 38 second half points while holding the Rockets to 21, recording a 60-41 victory in Battle Lake.

"We came out flat and Underwood had us playing their game in the first half," observed Battle Lake Head Coach CJ Peeters.  "We gave up ten points on offensive boards in the first half and really adjusted in the second half, holding them to just one 'O' board.  I liked how we finished, but it was a tough start."

Brennan Amundson led Battle Lake with 20 points.  He was joined in double figures by Riley Leabo and Nick VanErp with 15 and 14 points, respectively.

Canaan Kugler scored 12 points to lead Underwood.  Nick Seiple added 7 and Winston Heifort and Krosby Aasness chipped in with six point seach.

"I was very pleased with the effort on both ends of the court tonight," said Underwood Head Coach Evan Meece.  "We played a great first half defensively and that carried over into the offensive side as well.  Battle Lake went on a couple streaks in the second half and that ended up being the difference in the game.  We worked hard as a team and left it all out there tonight."

Battle Lake (7-12) will host Rothsay on Friday night.
