Sander Frustol recorded a double-double with 24 points and 12 rebounds to lead Hillcrest Lutheran Academy to a 79-66 Little Eight Conference boys basketball victory over Battle Lake on Tuesday night.

Gabriel Preston and Thomas Zwiers joined Frustol in double digits with 20 and 10 points, respectively.

"They played well and stayed composed," said Battle Lake Head Coach CJ Peeters.  "Frustol and PReston played well together and we couldn't get over the hump.  We cut it down to six or four points and then it woudl be back up to double digits.  We didn't shoot well and didn't execute down the stretch.  It's tough to win many games giving up 80 points at home."

Leaders for Battle Lake were Riley LeaboNick VanErp and Brennan Amundson with 17 points apiece.  Brady Scholten finished with 11 points.  The Battlers missed sixteen free throws on the night.

Hillcrest (10-9) will host Wheaton/Herman-Norcross in their next game on Thursday, February 21.

Battle Lake (6-12) will be at home against Underwood on Thursday and Rothsay on Friday.
