Perham Boys Make 15-of-21 3's in Win Over Barnesville

The Perham boys basketball team won for the twentieth time this season when they handed the Barnesville Trojans a 74-42 loss in Perham on Tuesday night. The Yellowjackets led 35-21 at the half and outscored the Trojans 39-21 in the second half, improving the 20-1 with their nineteenth straight victory. 

Perham continued their outstanding shooting on the season, making 64% (28-44) of their field goal attempts and an impressive 71.4% (15-21) of their three-pointers. Jensen Beachy was 10-for-14 overall and a perfect 6-for-6 from beyond the arc, scoring a game high 26 points. Carter Cresap was 6-for-7, finishing with 18 points and Josh Jeziorski had 12 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Jensen had a team high 6 assists and also came up with 3 steals. Cresap distributed 5 assists and Finn Diggins just missed a double-double with 9 points and 10 rebounds. 

Adam Tonsfeldt and Hunter Zenzen led Barnesville with 10 points apiece and Zenzen had a team high 6 rebounds. Kellen Hinsz finished with 8 points and Sam Askegaard had 7. Barnesville made 41% (18-44) of their shots from the field. 

Perham will host the Hawley Nuggets in a Heart O’ Lakes Conference contest on Thursday night. 

Barnesville (11-6) saw their three game winning streak come to an end. The Trojans will host Thief River Falls on Thursday and will face Frazee on Saturday at Concordia College in Moorhead.
