Spartan Men Fall to Anoka-Ramsey

Anoka-Ramsey shot 51% (30-59) from the field, including 46.4% (13-28) from beyond the arc on Saturday afternoon in Fergus Falls. The Golden Rams defeated M State by the score of 85-73, improving the 13-10 overall and 6-4 in MCAC Southern Division play. M State goes to 12-11 overall and 5-5 in the conference.

 

Beau Nelson came off the bench to score 18 points for the visitors. Justin Castrorecorded a double-double (18 points, 12 rebounds) and Jalen Dunlap was also in double figures with 14.

The Spartans featured a balanced attack with five players reaching double digits. TJ Martin (15 points, 7 rebounds), Samuel Priem (14 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists), Kyler Newman (13 points), Aaron Solberg (10 points, 7 rebounds) and Alend Alemadi (10) led the way for M State. Martin LaFond added 7 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. The Spartans made 42% (25-60) of their shots, 34% (12-35) of their 3’s and 73% (11-15) of their free throws.

M State will host Riverland in a 7:30pm contest on Wednesday night.
