The Comets shot 40% (24-60) from the field. Sander Frustol recorded a double-double (11 points, 15 rebounds) to lead Hillcrest and Micah Foss contributed a team high 12 points. Gabriel Preston finished with 9 points and 3 rebounds. Thomas Zwiers added 7 points and 6 boards.
“Sander Frustol had a very good rebounding game and early in the first half our team defense was strong,” reported Hillcrest Head Coach Gregg Preston. “We missed several good looks at the basket early and then it seemed as though we became very tentative on offense for much of the rest of the game. Our guys off the bench came in and finished the game extremely well. Tyson Powell and DaVante Edwards played extremely well for the Trojans. They are a difficult combo to defend.”
Hillcrest (9-6) will play at Ashby on Tuesday.
