Behind another double-double from sophomore post player Jaden Norby that included 23 points and 10 rebounds, the Ashby Arrows Boys Basketball team earned a 63-46 win at Rothsay. The Arrows ended the half with a 6-0 run to take a 25-18 halftime lead.
Jaden also dished out 6 assists and grabbed 7 steals to lead the Arrows in those categories. Scott Johnson reached double figures in scoring with 11 points. Christian Norby secured 14 rebounds to go along with 7 points. Noah Johnsonand Hunter Norby scored 8 points apiece. Dakota Ecker, Jake Rein, and Miles Hoff scored 3, 2, and 1 point, respectively.
“We had to work hard to grind out a victory against a stingy Rothsay defense that didn't give us many good looks at the basket,” commented Ashby Head Coach John Holsten.
The Arrows are 7-1 in the Little Eight Conference and 11-3 overall. They host the Hillcrest Lutheran Academy Comets Tuesday night.
