The Brandon-Evansville girls basketball team snapped a three game losing skid with a 48-39 Little Eight Conference win in Battle Lake on Thursday night.

Sara Jacobson led B-E with 18 points and Mikenna Pattrin joined her in double digits with 14.

Battle Lake received 20 points from Allison Marso and Makenna Tysdal finished with 8.

“We played a really good defensive game and matched the Chargers shot for shot with each team making fifteen field goals, including three 3-pointers each,” said Battle Lake Head Coach David Marso. “The difference was our six free throws to the Chargers fifteen. We got behind early and struggled with our shooting. We were down 29-23 at the half and in the second half we were able to cut into the lead, but could never gain the lead.”

Brandon-Evansville is 13-5 on the season and 7-1 against Little Eight Conference teams. They will play Long Prairie-Grey Eagle at 11:00am Saturday in Long Prairie.

Battle Lake (3-15) will travel to Fergus Falls on Tuesday to face Hillcrest Lutheran Academy.
