Fifty Shot Barrage Leads Alexandria to 4-0 Win Over Otter Boys

The Alexandria boys hockey team put fifty shots on the Fergus Falls net on Thursday night as they blanked the Otters 4-0 in a Central Lakes Conference contest at the Runestone Community Center in Alexandria. Scott VanVoorhismade 46 saves for the Otters, who managed just 13 shots on the night.

 

The Cardinals scored a pair of first period goals as Ben Doherty scored 3:03 into the game, assisted by Jack Westlund and Evan Lattimer, and Joe Westlundscored at 16:39 form Wyatt Blahosky and Ben Jenson.

Jenson assisted Derek Pesta on a goal at 11:11 of the second period, giving Alexandria a 3-0 lead.

The final goal of the game came at 2:28 of the third period when Andrew Revering scored from Joe Westlund.

Fergus Falls (7-12-2) will host Little Falls on Tuesday night in their final home game of the season.
