Brenner Wins 120 Pound Title at HOL Tournament

Wrestling at 120 pounds, Chase Brenner of the Barnesville Trojans won the championship of his weight class at the 2019 HOL Conference Tournament on Saturday.

Brenner received a quarterfinal round bye, pinned Tyler Moe of Frazee in his semifinal match and then posted a 17-9 major decision over Zach Haire of Breckenridge in the championship bout.      

Hunter Anderson came in second at 145 pounds, and three Barnesville wrestlers placed third in their weight classes, Tanner Kadrmas (152), Brady Kroll (170) and Jackson Poepping (220).    

Nathan Rehder (138) claimed fifth place and Tim Boone (126) finished sixth for the Trojans.  

Barnesville scored 86.5 team points, taking fifth place. Perham won the event with 251 points.
