Barnesville Boys Battle Unbeaten Ada-Borup but Fall 60-56

The Barnesville boys basketball team led 33-25 against unbeaten Ada-Borup at halftime on Saturday night, however, the Cougars came back to win the game, 60-56 in Barnesville. 

Ada-Borup shot 43% (24-55) from the field and made 10-of-12 (83%) free throws. The Cougars also won the battle of the boards, 33-28. Ada-Borup went on a ten point run to pull even with the Trojans at 35-35 and the game was tied at 56-56 with 2:42 to play in the game. The Cougars scored the final four points to earn the victory. 

Leaders for Barnesville were Hunter Zenzen (13 points, 5 rebounds) and Adam Tonsfeldt (11 points, 11 assists, 4 rebounds, 2 steals). Sam Askegaard had a team high 3 steals and scored 8 points. Grant Inniger added 8 points and Kellen Hinszcontributed 7 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists. 

Barnesville (8-5) will host Heart O’ Lakes Conference games Tuesday against Breckenridge and Thursday against Pelican Rapids
