The Hawley boys basketball team shot 50% (20-40) from the field and made 13-of-19 (68%) free throws Thursday night as the Nuggets posted a 57-39 Heart O’ Lakes Conference road win in Barnesville. The Trojans shot just 34% (15-34), making only 2-of-16 three-pointers. Hawley held a 31-22 edge on the boards.
The Trojans were led by Adam Tonsfeldt (11 points, 4 rebounds), Sam Askegaard(9 points, 5 rebounds, and Hunter Zenzen (7 points, 6 rebounds).
Hawley scored the final 12 points of the first half to take a 30-18 halftime lead.
Jaden Carlisle led the Nuggets with 20 points.
Barnesville (8-4, 2-3 HOL) will play Ada-Borup on Saturday.
