Hillcrest led 46-20 at halftime on Thursday night as they went on to defeat the Underwood Rockets by the score of 74-36 on the Comets home court in Fergus Falls.

“From midway through the first half to the end of the game, we had a very very good team effort,” reported Hillcrest Head Coach Gregg Preston. “We had 10 players in the scoring column and 8 different players assisted scorers. We were proficient in our offense with 7 turnovers and 18 assists. We have delivered the ball to our teammates much better recently and as a result, our shooting percentage has improved too.  Gabriel Preston and Micah Foss shot the ball well from the perimeter and Sander Frustol had another solid game in the post.”

Preston paced Hillcrest with 21 points and Frustol finished with 15 points. Foss ended up with 12 points.

"We didn't play with the fire and intensity that we needed to tonight,” said Underwood Head Coach Evan Meece.  “Hillcrest played really tough defense and put some pressure on us.  We made too many turnovers and didn't respond with the same level of intensity on defense."

Canaan Kugler led the Rockets with 10 points and Winston Heifort finished with 7 points.
