Brandon-Evansville traveled to Rothsay on Tuesday night for a Little Eight Conference girls basketball matchup which the Chargers won by the score of 47-35.

Mikenna Pattrin and Brittany Korkowski scored 16 and 10 points, respectively for the Chargers. Kailee Klimek and Maddison Quinn added 7 points each.

“We had a great first half holding them to only 9 points,” commented B-E Head Coach Sam Lange. “We relaxed a little in the second half and Rothsay took advantage and hit some shots. We were able to hold off their run and finish the game.”

Rothsay received 9 points apiece from Jayna Gronewold and Cora Honer. Honer led the Tigers with 5 rebounds. Gronewold had a team high 3 assists and Emily Christ chipped in with 6 points and 3 rebounds.

“We struggled to break the press in the first half, but the girls adjusted well in the second,” said Rothsay Head Coach Anita Heier. “The seniors stepped up and played well for us.”
