Otter Girls Jump Out to 21-0 Lead in Victory Over Sartell

The Otter girls basketball team jumped out to a 21-0 lead on Tuesday night and went on to hand the Sartell Sabres a 53-28 defeat at the Kennedy Secondary School in Fergus Falls.

"We had just a tremendous start to the game tonight," said Fergus Falls Head Coach Brad Strand.  "We had a huge crowd for the double header and we really appreciate the great support we receive from our fans."

Ellie Colbeck (13 points, 6 assists, 8 rebounds), Samantha Evavold (12 points), Tori Ratz (11 points), Lily Pearson (11 rebounds) and Sabrina Fronning (8 rebounds, 5 steals) led the Otters.

The Otters won the JV game 38-33, improving to 14-1.  Anna Anderson scored 13 points to lead the team.  In the 'B' game the Otters won 47-34 to improve their record to 13-1.  Hannah Polejewski (13), Laci Strom (12) and Katie Strommen(10) were all in double digits for Fergus Falls.

The Otters (12-3) will host Rocori in a Central Lakes Conference contest on Friday night, Backcourt Appreciation night.  All Backcourt club girls will receive free admission if they wear their Backcourt jerseys and the Otters will be signing autographs following the game.
