The Otters mounted the comeback without senior leader Matthew Johnson who left the game with an injury early in the second half. Johnson didn't return to the lineup after the injury occurred.
Leaders for Fergus Falls were Dominic Aguilar (6 points, 5 rebounds, 10 assists), Ashwin Stratton (12 points), Ethan Olson (12 points) and Chance Fazio (4 points, 3 rebounds, 3 blocks). Nic Pearson added 8 points, including two big 3-point field goals during the 17-0 run. The Otters made 49% (25-51) of their shots from the field.
Moorhead had four players in double figures, led by Quentin Hegg with 16 points. Drew Hagen and Maleeck Harden-Hayes each added 13 points and Brady Walthall contributed a dozen. The Spuds shot 47% (24-51) from the floor and held a slim 23-22 edge on the boards.
Fergus Falls (8-7) will play a Central Lakes Conference game at Brainerd on Thursday night.
