Cowboys Win for Ninth Time

Breckenridge defeated Long Prairie by a score of 76-49 in a non-conference boys basketball game on Tuesday night in Breckenridge. The halftime score was 31-20 in favor of the Cowboys. 

Leading scorers for the Cowboys were Noah Christensen with 21, Max Johnsonwith 16, and Jonah Christensen with 13. Leading rebounders were Noah Christensen with 11, Jonah Christensen with 5, and Max Johnson with 4. Leading in assists were Noah Christensen with 5, Caden McGough with 4, and Cooper Yaggie with 4. 

"We played a slow first half but really responded at halftime to help put ourselves in a strong position to win,” stated Breckenridge Assistant Coach Derek Grahn. “We again had a lot of guys contribute in more ways than just the box score stats. We also want to send out our best wishes to Ian Langford of Long Prairie who took a scary fall early in the game and had to exit to the hospital. We wish him a speedy and healthy recovery." 

The Cowboys (9-5) will face border rival Wahpeton in a 7:00pm game Saturday at NDSCS.
